Boom Days Photo Contest is currently Closed

Take part the BoomDays 2008 Photo Contest! Send us your best photos of the Buffalo Niagara Waterfront and you could win! Photos must be of the Buffalo/Niagara Waterfront.

The waterfront is defined as Lake Erie and the Niagara River from Buffalo to Fort Niagara, NY on the American side, and from Ft. Erie to Niagara-On-The-Lake on the Canadian Side. We encourage the photos to depict the various seasons.

12 photos will have the chance to be published in a 2009 calendar and the top three will win cash prizes.

Financial Consultant Christopher B. Burke of AXA Advisors, LLC and the AXA Foundation are the official sponsors of the Boom Days Photo Contest.

Photo Contest Rules & Information

1. The photo must have been taken by the person submitting the photo.

2. Photos can be taken digitally or with film.

3. Use your camera and film format of choice.

4. Photos must be of the Buffalo/Niagara Waterfront. The waterfront is defined as Lake Erie and the Niagara River from Buffalo to Fort Niagara, NY on the American side, and from Ft. Erie to Niagara-On-The-Lake on the Canadian Side. We encourage the photos to depict the various seasons.

5. Only two photos per person may be submitted for the judging.

6. Entries must be submitted through boomdays@eventelements.net and include Full Name, Phone Number and City of Residence.

7. All entries must be submitted to the website no later than March 21, 2008.

8. Photos submitted will become the property of the BoomDays Committee and may be used for marketing purposes.

9. The judges' decisions will be final.

10. Photos will be on digital display at BoomDays 2008.

11. Awards will be announced publicly at BoomDays 2008.

12. Photo Format - Images must be in a JPG format and a maximum of 2MB. No .GIF files will be accepted as well as file sizes larger than 2MB. When submitting multiple photos, please attach them to seperate emails. A hi-res version of your picture must be available in the event of winning the contest for printing purposes. No camera phone images please.

13. Winners will be notified by phone or email by March 28, 2008.

14. Prizes - The top 12 images will be chosen to be printed in a calendar featuring the Buffalo Niagara Waterfront.

15. Event Elements, Boom Days, AXA Advisors, LLC, and Online Media are not responsible for emails and photos that are not received due to computer, network, or user error.

The top 3 images will receive the following cash prizes:
1st Place - $400
2nd Place - $250
3rd Place - $100
