Chasing Payne covers all the bases while also writing and recording their own originals.

The band draws inspiration from southern legends like Alabama, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Johnny Cash to heavier influences like Metallica, Skid Row and Alice In Chains.

But being from the south, their members cut their teeth on gospel, country and southern rock music!

Jeremy “Not The Judge” Taylor, lead vocalist and guitar player, spent all of his childhood singing and playing while traveling with his family’s gospel group.

Jordon Hilyer, bass guitarist, also grew up playing in church, while looking up to bass players such as his grandfather and of course, Fort Payne’s own Teddy Gentry.

Scott Wynn, drummer, discovered his passion for music and intense entertainment after attending his first Motley Crue concert.

Ashley Martin, lead guitarist, serves up heavy guitar riffs and solos while also providing backing vocals for the band.

Collectively, they bring to the table a unique flavor of southern rock!
